Thank you so much for supporting us and backing Crossover Division, and welcome to another of our regular weekly updates as I do my best to keep you in the loop with everything happening with Crossover Division #4.

The work continues on the art, so this week, I thought I would talk about the page count. This issue started out at 32 pages (4 pages for the front and back covers, 24 story pages, 1 page for the essay, 2 pages for the backer list). Thanks to you wonderful backers pushing us past so many stretch goals, it's grown to 40 pages and includes each cover without the logos and trade dress (by our amazing cover artists Alice Leclert, Pablo Martinena, Fell Hound, Emily Pearson, and Mog Park). This means that each of the following are now included in the issue!

Thanks again for making this issue great!

That's it for this week.

Just a reminder, I'll send out surveys via BackerKit in the coming weeks so that I can get your preferred names to list on the Crossover Division #4 Thank You Page.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via Kickstarter or e-mail at [email protected].

Thank you all again for believing in us and Crossover Division and giving us your support and trust.

Work proceeds apace on the issue. Alice is busy finishing up the inks on the remaining pages, while Ryan is busy coloring the pages she's already finished.

The best thing for me to do is just stay out of the way, which I have done by getting BackerKit all setup. That's right the Crossover Division #4 Pre-Order Store is now live, so feel free to share it!

Weekly Update #1
about 2 years ago – Wed, Aug 24, 2022 at 05:16:12 AM

Thank you so much for supporting us and backing Crossover Division, and welcome to the first of our regular weekly updates as I do my best to keep you in the loop with everything happening with Crossover Division #4.

First, Kickstarter has distributed the funds to me, so I can begin ordering everything. I have a quote for printing, the prints, and everything else, so I'll set those things in motion. Printing will wait until the art for the issue is finished, which should be within the next several weeks. Ryan (coloring) and Brant (lettering) are working the pages that are already finished, so we should be able to send the files to the printer very quickly after Alice finishes up the art.

As for printing, I'm sure you've heard the words supply chain disruption, global pandemic, and paper supply shortages more than once in pretty much every comics creator's Kickstarter update. I'll not bore you with the details, but know that I am monitoring the situation and have faith in my printer. While they can't make paper magically appear, they are pretty awesome, so I'm extremely confident that we'll be able to get the books printed. According to my last communication, I should expect about 4 weeks for them to print the issue once we upload the files. I've built in a lot of buffer time in the fulfillment timeline to account for delays, so I should be able to hit the December delivery date. Honestly though, I really hope to beat that by a lot. Keep your fingers crossed.

Also, I want to thank everyone again for updating their credit card info with Kickstarter. It looks like we only had 4 pledges error-out on us.

I'll send out surveys via BackerKit in the coming weeks so that I can get your preferred names to list on the Crossover Division #4 Thank You Page.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via Kickstarter or e-mail at [email protected].

Thank you all again for believing in us and Crossover Division and giving us your support and trust.

Weekly Updates & What to Expect When You're Expecting...Rewards
over 2 years ago – Tue, Aug 02, 2022 at 09:17:12 AM

Thank you so much for supporting us and Crossover Division #4!

For returning agents, thank you for coming back and supporting us again, and for all you new recruits, Welcome to Crossover Division!

Now that the campaign has ended, it's time to move into the next phase of the project, getting the rewards together and fulfillment. It's probably a good idea to discuss the timeline and what you can expect when you're expecting...your rewards.

Yeah, this is me explaining things.

First, 97.89% of pledges have been successfully processed by Kickstarter.

That's freakin' awesome!

Still, that leaves 7 backers whose pledges have errored in some way, but don't worry if this happens to you. It's a simple fix, and usually just means your credit card info with Kickstarter is not up to date. To update your payment information, simply log into Kickstarter and update your account (Kickstarter will also send you an email to fix this.) Please resolve those pledges ASAP, otherwise Kickstarter will cancel your pledge.

I've also just sent you a message via Kickstarter to let you know.

Now, on to the timeline.

It will be around 2 weeks until Kickstarter releases the funds. During this time, I'll be verifying quotes and getting all the rewards together. Alice is working on the art for the remaining pages for Ryan to color. Then, it will be up to Brant to work his magic on the lettering. Once they are done, we'll send the files to our printer. Printing should take about 4 weeks, but I have been cautioned by my printer that paper supplies are extremely unpredictable now and for the foreseeable future. I'll certainly keep you in the loop as we move through the production process. After everything is printed, I'll get the books shipped to me, and then begin fulfillment. Currently, shipping books to backers is scheduled for December, but I'm hoping to deliver before then, assuming of course, that some unforeseen circumstance doesn't mess with the schedule...you know like a global pandemic, worldwide supply chain disruption, or a worldwide paper shortage.

I'll send out surveys via BackerKit in the coming weeks so that I can get your preferred names to list on the Crossover Division #4 Thank You Page.

I will move to weekly updates probably on Monday nights to starting August 22nd to coincide with when I send out The Midnight Hour, my weekly newsletter. You can sign-up here (http://bit.ly/2gW4LfJ).

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via Kickstarter or e-mail at [email protected].

Thank you all again for believing in us and Crossover Division and giving us your support and trust.

You Did It!

You did it!

332 of you came together and pushed us through 9 stretch goals!

Amazing!

Thank you so much for supporting us and Crossover Division.

It's been a wonderful campaign, but I'm worn-out.

I wanted to thank all of you wonderful backers and everyone who shared and talked about the project before I crash for some much-needed sleep.

Thank you from the whole team.

I'm going to get some sleep, but I'll send out an update outlining what to expect in the coming weeks.

Thanks again!
